In monitoring the recent epidemic of canine "kennel cough" throughout the greater Denver area, we hope to raise awareness and, in turn, decrease its spread. This unidentified canine respiratory illness initially presents through coughing, wheezing, sneezing, nasal and optical discharge, and labored breathing, and progresses rapidly with often fatal results. Symptoms last for weeks longer than typical "kennel cough" symptoms, and it seems to be both airborne and contact spreading.
Please discourage your pup(s) from intermingling with other dogs outside of your household, especially at daycares and dog parks. Avoid shared/public food and water bowls, as well as communal items like toys, brushes, leashes, collars, and the like. Be mindful to keep your dogs' face, paws, living spaces, and items clean!
If your dog is experiencing "kennel cough" symptoms at any severity, please visit a veterinarian immediately. If your dog has a scheduled appointment for grooming with us and is presenting symptoms, please notify us as soon as possible. For precautionary measures, your scheduled appointment will be canceled at any time without penalty and we will wait for veterinarian approval to rebook. If we observe these concerning symptoms at appointment drop-off, we reserve the right to turn your pet away and advise a veterinarian visit for the safety of all dogs currently and eventually in our care. In case of unforeseen contamination or exposure within our facility, all clients will be notified and encouraged to visit a vet immediately.
Due to the illness' airborne and contact-spread nature, our facility will decontaminate and sanitize all affected areas and tools to the best of our ability. Depending on severity of the contamination or exposure, our facility may be forced to close temporarily for a complete fumigation process.

We have finally upgraded our POS terminal -- Woohoo! With this change, though, we do understand that there may be some confusion and concern about what this upgrade entails. We hope this helps clear things up!
When charging any card or virtual wallet transaction, a 3.99% terminal processing fee applies to your final billing in order to complete your payment.
Tender options like cash or check, however, are exempt from this fee, since they are not processed through the terminal.
TLDR: if you don't want to pay a couple extra dollars
to process your payment, feel free to use cash or check
to avoid that additional fee!
As our clientele grows, we’ve come to better understand the needs of both our customers and our staff. We have updated our shop policies to be clearer and more standardized, most notably regarding rabies vaccination, emergency medical authorization, late cancellations, and ‘no-show’ occurrences. These updates will be available for your convenience on our website and will also be included in our renewed Client Information packet. To ensure that we stay up-to-date with PACFA and Broomfield County requirements, we please ask that every client complete one of these required packets before, during, or immediately after their next appointment, so that we may have every clients’ updated information readily available for all subsequent visits. This packet will also be available on our website for advance filing starting July 1st, but will otherwise be provided in-shop to file at your appointment. In case of the latter, please arrive a few minutes in advance to complete this paperwork.
In the past year, as the cost of supplies has continued to rise and our shop’s quality standards strengthen, we’ve determined that our current service rates aren’t quite up to par. It is once again that time of year again – starting July 1st, please expect another ~10% incremental increase to your pet’s base service prices. Walk-in services and extra appointment add-ons will also be adjusted upward to better match their value. This will allow us to continue delivering excellent care with our best paws forward!
The Dirty Dog Grooming appreciates your patience and understanding while we continue to evolve for the better. We hope these improvements will add value to you and your pets’ experiences with us!
